no words. . . except maybe “perfect”. Thank you.
Amazing and beautiful.
Hello Frost & Sunshine, That was wonderful! As a great swinger of many a birch (a few years ago) this brought back some great memories of my youth. Damn if it doesn’t make me want too go do it again. Maybe tomorrow if the wife and doctor don’t find out. Your namesake does do some great work. He lived in this area part of his life and his grave is in Bennington in a beautiful old New England cemetery that sits on the grounds of the Old First Church which is one of the most picturesque churches in Vermont. There also is the Robert Frost Museum nearby. If you have the time and interest as you hit Vt. let me know and I’d be glad to give you a quick tour. Thanks again,Steve
Frost… So glad I met you at the tail end of the ALDHA Hiker Feed… Watching this film was exactly what I needed today. Thanks for your “gift” of it. My annual trail letter that I told you about will be sent shortly, but it pales in comparison to this film. As you no doubt know, this is the 50th anniversary year of R.F.’s passing, and I can think of no finer tribute to the old guy than this film. Funny, I was going to email you the MP3 of this recording (I even have it on my iPod), but I should’ve known you would’ve already known about it yourself.
I’ll be in touch later about a story on your project for the ALDHA newsletter and website, but in the meantime, keep swingin’ away. You’re entering the magical home stretch of the Appalachian Trail. Enjoy every step.
Thank you, Bill (and thanks for the ride into Salsbury!). I’m very gratified that you enjoyed it, and I didn’t know that this year marks the 50th anniversary of Frost’s passing. Thanks for your well-wishes on the trail ahead!
Chris, what a gift you are. This is so beautiful.
Frost, what a talented storyteller you are! These videos and photos are amazing and beautiful. I can’t wait to see more of them as you continue up the trail!
I appreciate it, Hoops!
Inspiring. There is nothing like the beauty and solitude of a winter hike. There is no other poet like Robert Frost.
